Editorial Policy

Our standards for research, review, updates, and corrections.

UTV Wise publishes electrical diagnostic guides that owners rely on to make repair decisions. That responsibility shapes how we research, write, review, and maintain every article.

How we research

Each guide starts with a specific, real question owners ask about a specific family of machines. We gather the relevant specifications from service data and verify them against hands-on experience. Test values such as voltages, resistances, and diagnostic codes are checked before they are published, not estimated.

How we write

We write in plain language, in the order you would actually test, with the numbers you need to make a decision. We favor concrete steps over theory and always explain what a reading means and what to do next. If a step carries risk, we say so.

Review and accuracy

Every guide is reviewed against manufacturer specifications before it goes live. When we learn that something is unclear, incomplete, or has changed, we correct it. We would rather fix a guide than defend it.

Updates and dating

Diagnostics evolve as models change. When we revise a guide in a meaningful way, we update its date so you can judge how current the information is.

Corrections

If you spot an error, we want to hear about it. Email us at [email protected] or use our contact form. Verified corrections are made promptly, and we are grateful for readers who help keep our guides accurate.
